Ape Swap Crypto Platform
ApeSwap is a decentralized crypto finance platform that serves on Ethereum, BNB, Polygon, and Telos blockchain networks. The platform is founded by anonymous crypto enthusiasts and real identities are not disclosed. There is a team introductory article on Medium but the team members use pseudonymous names. It is not clear when and where the platform was launched. The platform’s Crunchbase profile is not completed as well. ApeSwap Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) runs the platform based on a token-incentivized governance model. The ApeSwap is a community-supported decentralized finance app.
ApeSwap platform has a web app that is very easy to start using. Anyone with a web-wallet extension installed on the browser can connect to the platform with a web wallet. ApeSwap has many tools for users. Users can swap, limit orders, exchange and trade many cryptocurrencies on the platform. ApeSwap also serves as a bridging platform between the networks. Users can transfer coins from one network to another. The platform offers staking, farming and lending services with competitive rates.
ApeSwap has two native currencies; BANANA and GNANA. While GNANA is the governance token, BANANA is the utility token on the platform. Users can earn yields in BANANA tokens and pay fees in BANANA. The BANANA token is inflationary and doesn’t have a maximum supply.
The platform has audit reports from Paladin, DeFiYield, and BSC Gemz and reports are disclosed on the platform’s audits page. Apeswap hasn’t been hacked or exploited by hackers. But users should consider that the ApeSwap is relatively new in the DeFi world and doesn’t have a proven history yet.
